A Testimonial of His Mercy…
God’s mercies in abundance sustained the Indian Pentecostal Church of God, Bahrain (IPC Bahrain) for over six decades and more in this foreign land. The church continues to flourish thus far with the boundless Grace of God and the benevolent rulers of this beautiful Island Kingdom.
Each of us as children of God has an obligation to earnestly pray over the rulers of Bahrain. Romans 13 passage, clearly, a commandment, teaches us to pray over those who govern us. Let us pray that God grants our leaders divine peace, wealth in abundance, good governance and prosperity of the Island. The Bahrain government is a model for interfaith tolerance and peaceful coexistence and a homeland that embraces all sects. Christians living in Bahrain worship God in total freedom. Therefore, let us pray for a blessing over the leadership, economic stability and security of the country.
IPC Bahrain was established by my elder brother (Pastor T.T Joseph) in the year 1956. When he first arrived in Bahrain, there were a few Pentecostal believers who were attending worship at nominal churches. It was my brother who formed the first Pentecostal church. Many who laboured along with him now rest in God's presence and we praise God for the fruits of their labour. From 1956 until 1974, IPC Bahrain was the only Pentecostal church where believers from various denominations also attended our services. Leaders from across various churches were always welcomed. If my memory serves me right, the first church outside India that still continues to prevail is the IPC Bahrain. Churches were much later formed in the GCC, UK, USA, Canada, Australia to name a few. Today, we can find former IPC Bahrain members all across the world. There is undoubtedly a great deal of truth when I say, by the Grace of God, IPC Bahrain will continue to prevail on this Island. I believe members from our church will be among those who will be resurrected. Prayerfully, let us prepare and get ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The bible passage 1 Corinthians 10, reminds us to be cautious and continue steadfastly in his word.
“Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall” - 1 Corinthians 10:12.
May the Almighty God bless you all.
In Him,
Pastor T.T Thomas
